Last part of 2010 my bible reading time seemed to have really been languishing. Struggling through the old testament trying to stay focused while reading about Gods justice and mercy. But even in those times of being weighed down I still was learning a lot. Gods loves us so much and His very jealous for those who trust in Him. He will turn the world upside down for our sakes. I dont think I can really fathom that. The God of the universe, creator of everything cares about me in particular that He will lay waste to everything that is threatening us (or hurt us) to see justice done.
Its nice to be able to say that I am no longer in that funk but have picked my bible reading back up. I have finished reading through the old testament and am going through the New testament again. I think this will be the 5th(?) time reading the whole bible.

Players
well it looks like my wife is going to start playing 40k with me. Dark Eldar. ugghh Lelith witch army of butt kicking.
Chris is still doing Space wolves but is now adding thunderwolf cavalry
Randy is just dangerous. His Tyranids are why I am tentative to push into the center of the board. Though I did whip him last night lol. He is also going to start a new Grey Knight army. He finally wants to use vehicles and shoot more.

Newest 40k
Alot has been happening lately on the 40k side of things. I successfully painted all my minis for my bloodthirster deep strike a gogo Army. not a whole lot of stuff I have to get for them just finish of my crushers add a fiend and a grinder and I am finished with them.
I have finally got my marines muse working. I do believe I have an army list and feel I can be happy with. It is my Fleshtearers! Yes the Gabriel Seth model got me. Had my first game with them and have to say it was a lot of fun. I wanted certain things in my army so it was very hard to get a coherent list that still played well. Here's the list
Gabriel Seth (of course)
Sanguinary priest no upgrades
Chaplain no upgrades
Death company x7, thunder hammer
Death Company Dreadnought blood talons
x3 assault squads 5 man melta, power weapon
Razorback Lascannon, TL plasma gun (These are too effective not to have lol)
Tactical squad 10 man flamer, multimelta sergeant has powerfist and bolter
Rhino (Wanted at least one of these squads)
Baal Predator TL assault cannon, Heavy bolter sponsons (really wanted one of these)
Devastator squad 5 man 3 missile launchers, Lascannon
Razorback Lascannon, TL plasma gun (wanted one of these)
Stormraven hurricane bolters, TL assault cannons, TL Multimelta (Really wanted this)
The only thing I wasnt sure of was the death company clump. I had an Assault Terminator squad and Furioso plus 2 tactical squads and 2 assault squads, but I really felt I needed rerolls to make them the killers I needed them to be. To do that I would have to drop Seth to take either a reclusiarch or a Librarian in termi armor and storm shield. Or keep Seth and drop a troop choice. Neither of these appealed to me as I feel marines need at least 4 troops choices and from that you can get 5 or 6 scoring units.
As far as the feel of the unit, it is an armored spearhead racing forward, lancing through the enemy lines supported by the Deathcompany strike force in stormraven, ready to race forward and break any enemy strongpoints.

New happenings
What can I say but God is awesome. He gave us a house in the country. I have been blessed again and again. Pastor has started March madness all month and I have just been impressed. I really have been enjoying pastors new found excitement for God. He has always been super dedicated and real but he and his family has really been through the ringers the last couple years. I really love them all for not giving up through it all and fighting for not just survival but to continue to grow in God. It has never been just about "us" in the church but how can we make the lives of the people around us better. Its not about me anymore, it is about everyone my life touches.
My wife Joyce has really grown through all this time. She hurts all the time but doesnt let it take away her "life". She is awesome.

a sloppy wet kiss.
There should be times in ever Christian's life where you get a chance to meet God. One of those times has occurred this past week. God came down from heaven to give a huge "I love you" kiss to me and many others at church. Again and again God has come through for me and I cant thank Him enough. I cant really explain it to you beyond being a little child and your dad sweeping you up onto his lap, giving you a big hug and planting a kiss on your cheek.

Terminators
I want to get Terminators so I can use all my tanks. I have a landraider, a defiler and two predators. The funny thing is I can write pretty much anything on this blog because no one ever even reads it. lol. Well I am doing great. My faith has been tested and not found wanting with all the stuff happening and a plus is that I have been actually able to play 40k alot. Going from playing once or twice a year to playing once or twice a week. very fun. My chaos space marines have been brutal against Tyranids and space wolves. My Imperial guard are a great army but they are just boring. Shoot shoot shoot. Where is the personal combat? Where is the fearless valour?
